fades.bet is a peer-to-peer sports market running a play-money preseason. This page states plainly what that means.
TERMS
Balances are game credits, shown in dollars purely for readability. They are not currency and not a stored value of any kind. There are no deposits, no withdrawals, no purchases, and no cash value at any point — during Season 0, at its conclusion, or afterwards. Nothing on fades.bet is a real-money wager, and no part of the service accepts or disburses funds.
Users set their own lines, odds, and stakes. Sportsbook reference lines shown alongside a market are informational context pulled from a public feed; they are not prices offered by fades.bet and carry no guarantee of accuracy or availability. Markets settle against the final result of the underlying game. Season 0 is a preseason: markets, balances, and records may be reset, and we may void or unwind a market that settled on bad data.
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. One account per person. Do not use the service to post markets on anything other than the sporting events on the board, and do not attempt to arrange real-money settlement between users off-platform — accounts doing so will be removed. Access during Season 0 may be invite-gated and can be revoked.
